Terms

Open Bar Review publishes The MPRE, Complete for personal study. The course is free. There is nothing to buy, and reading it needs no account.

These terms are the agreement between you and Open Bar Review about using this site and the files on it. If you use the site, you accept them.

What you may do

Read the course on this site. Download the PDFs, keep them, print them, and give a whole unchanged file to anyone who wants one. Pass them to a classmate, a study group, or a whole class. None of that needs our permission and none of it costs anything.

What you may not do

Do not sell the files or charge for access to them. Do not put another name or brand on them, and do not publish an edited version as though it were ours. The files travel whole or not at all.

Do not copy the site in bulk with automated software, and do not try to break it, overload it, or reach data that is not yours. If you want the whole course, the downloads page already gives it to you.

Accounts

An account exists to keep your progress: the sections you have read, the answers you give, and the plan you are working. It unlocks nothing, because nothing here is locked.

One account per person. Keep your password to yourself, and tell us if you think somebody else has it. We may close an account that is used to attack the site, to scrape it, or to resell what is on it.

This is not legal advice

The course teaches the ABA Model Rules of Professional Conduct and the Model Code of Judicial Conduct, because that is what the exam tests. It is study material. It is not advice about your own conduct, your own matter, or the law of your own jurisdiction. For that, ask a lawyer admitted there.

No promise about your result

We cannot promise you will pass. Nobody can. We are not connected with the organisation that writes or scores the exam, and using this course does not change how you are marked.

The course and the site come as they are. We edit carefully and we fix what we find, but we do not promise the course is free of mistakes, that the site is always up, or that it fits your own exam and your own dates. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for loss that comes from using it.

Changes and corrections

The course changes. We add to it, rewrite parts of it, and fix errors we find or that readers send in. Each fix is listed with the date it was made on the corrections page, so you can check a copy you downloaded against what is now true.

Changes to these terms

If these terms change, the new ones go on this page and the date at the top of it changes with them. There is no other version.
